Envelope Challenge #1 - "Citrus"

Our Anchorage Modern Quilt guild has decided to start some challenges.  We have dubbed them the Envelope Challenge. Every 3 months we will bring an envelope filled with the theme or fabric to hand out.  There are two ways to participate.

1.) You can create whatever you want that is inspired by the theme or colors provided and share it at one of the quilt guild meetings.

2.) You can create and submit a 12 1/2 inch block that will be made into a quilt.  Quilts made from challenge blocks will be donated to the local chapter of the Red Cross.

If you opt in to make a block for the charity you will be entered into a drawing for that months prize/prizes.  For each block you make you will get 1 entry into the drawing (3 blocks - 3 entries).  There is no cap on the number of entries you can make.

This month the theme is - "Citrus".  The envelope contained strips of the following colors:

If you wish to participate you have until the July 23, 2012 quilt guild meeting to submit your block/blocks or share your projects. The prize for this "Citrus" challenge is a Jelly Roll of solids.

We hope to see you all at the next meeting!
